Watch Rihanna Twerk in Her Naked CFDA Dress
“We definitely wanted to make it a little bit scandalous,” Adam Selman, the dress designer, told Style.com. “The dress is just fishnet and crystals and a couple of fingers crossed. But fashion is about beauty, and the [female] body is part of that."And while her stylist, Mel Ottenberg, admitted that his "shock gauge is off," due to the amount of time he spends with Rihanna, he said that he was finally ready for her to wear it. "I did this look for her so she’d have a good time," he told Style.com. "This was the perfect night do to something fun, and I wanted her to have something great that you couldn’t find anywhere else in the world.”

Prayers Going up for Tracey Morgan, and his mentor who Died Saturday

Prayers are going up for Actor, and Comedian Tracey Morgan, who  was critically injured in a 6 vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike early Saturday morning. He is listed in critical condition as of today. He is said to be making improvements, but yet his condition remains critical.
According to  his  publicist Lewis Kay  as of Sunday: "He has been more responsive, which is an incredibly encouraging sign," According to CNN The wreck took place about 1 a.m. Saturday when the Mercedes Benz limo van Morgan was in was hit by a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike, police said. The collision killed Morgan's fellow passenger, comedian James McNair -- who performed under the name Jimmy Mack. Comedians Ardie Fuqua and Harris Stanton were among the injured, as was a man named Jeffrey Millea.

According to CNN reporter Kevin Conlon The truck driver charged in the crash turned himself in to police, and was released on a $50,000 bail Saturday night. The driver, 35-year-old Kevin Roper, is charged with one count of death by auto and four counts of assault by auto, the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office said.He was a driver for Walmart.
"This is a tragedy, and we are profoundly sorry that one of our trucks was involved," Bill Simon, president and CEO of Walmart U.S., said in a statement."The facts are continuing to unfold. If it's determined that our truck caused the accident, Walmart will take full responsibility."

The Cringe Factor

Just three days after Justin Bieber apologized for a video that leaked online of him telling a racist joke, another video of him using the N-word has surfaced on TMZ. He was said to be 15 in the first clip, and TMZ cites him as being 14 in this second clip.

The content is once again wildly offensive: the Biebs twists the lyrics to his hit “One Less Lonely Girl” to include the offensive N-word, and also talks about joining the KKK.

According to CNN's Gregory Wallace, Athena Jones and Rachael Shackelford President Obama will announce on Monday an expansion of a program that helps student loan borrowers manage their debt, a White House official said.

The official said Obama will expand  the criteria for an alternative repayment program, which caps monthly payments for certain federal student loans at 10% of a borrower's discretionary income.

The changes would allow an additional 5 million borrowers to qualify and will be available beginning in December 2015, the official said.

The alternative payment programs are designed to help borrowers struggling under the weight of student loans. They include forgiveness programs for on-time payments and public-sector employees. Teachers can have their balance canceled after ten years, for example. Low-income borrowers can have their balance canceled after 20 or 25 years of on-time payments.

Borrowers who don't qualify for forgiveness but use a repayment program find their monthly payments reduced but spread out over a longer period of time. That means they will pay more over the lifetime of the loan, as there is additional time for interest to accrue.

Income-based repayment and Pay As You Earn aren't available for borrowers who turn to private institutions rather than the government.

The official said Obama will also voice support for a Democratic proposal on Capitol Hill that would allow borrowers to refinance their student loans. The proposal by Sen. Elizabeth Warren would extend current rates for new borrowers to those with outstanding loans at higher rates.

"While Congress decides what it's going to do, I will keep doing whatever I can without Congress to help responsible young people pay off their loans -- including new action I will take this week," Obama said in his weekly address on Saturday.

He was scheduled to make the announcement at a 1:45 p.m. event The New York Times first reported the news.

Student loans have been in the spotlight as the amount of debt skyrocketed, taking second place to only home mortgage debt, according to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

On Tuesday, Obama is scheduled to discuss student loan debt and other education topics in a chat on the website Tumblr.

Rumor Has It

Will Michelle Obama run for the Senate in 2016? The Political pundits are all chatting away on this one. According to  a Thursday column for Reuters, Keith Koffler writes that it shouldn’t be a surprise if Michelle Obama decides she wants to take a run at incumbent Illinois Republican Mark Kirk in 2016. Not only would she immediately deliver the kind of star power that would elevate her above her opponent, he writes, but her increasingly “bold profile” suggests she is placing herself in a position to at least seriously consider a Senate campaign. To back up his reasoning, Koffler points to numerous instances in which the first lady has placed herself in the public eye. Earlier this year, she traveled to China with her daughters on what was a highly publicized trip, and she has been active on the fundraising front, holding two events for Democratic candidates this week alone. Even the first lady’s graduation speeches have drawn further attention and scrutiny. Speaking to five graduating high school classes in May, Obama warned segregation is still an issue decades after the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional. She called on the younger generation to speak up when they hear racist comments from their family members, a statement that caused ire among some commentators who accused her of trying to police people for politically incorrect thoughts.

With Kirk up for reelection in 2016 and his health in question, it could be an opening for Obama – if she’s interested.

“She would quickly become the most recognizable face in the Senate,” Koffler wrote. “Her fame and fundraising ability would command deference in a body that normally operates on seniority. Whether the recent elevation of her profile suggests a plan to run is unclear, but she will be well positioned should she jump in.”

Punditry aside, would Obama have a chance if she decided to run? Kirk is a strong candidate, but as noted by NBC Chicago, a survey by Public Policy Polling released in December 2012 found she’d easily become the front-runner.

“If Michelle Obama decided she wanted to follow the Hillary Clinton route once her husband leaves office in 2016 and go to the Senate, she'd have the upper hand on Mark Kirk,” the firm stated. “She leads him 51/40 in a hypothetical head to head. Kirk's approval numbers are ok with 34% of voters approving of him to 19% who disapprove. But those numbers are no match for the first lady, who's seen positively by 60% of voters to 33% with a negative one.”

Whether Obama is actually interested in running for office, though, remains unclear. In 2012, she said she would “absolutely not” run for office before qualifying her statement with a “probably.”

“One of the things you learn about yourself as you get older are what are your strengths and what are your interests. And for me, it’s the other stuff that is not being president,” she said, as quoted by ABC News. “So I probably won’t run.”

Meanwhile, Reuters reported that at a Democratic fundraiser on Monday, Obama let slip some language indicating she took office when her husband was elected – a possible Freudian slip she quickly corrected.

“And then there were those of you (who) joined us after the primaries, and you were there when Barack and I first took office — or I took office alongside — or he took office and I was there,” she said to laughs from the audience.

On a more substantive front, Obama has involved herself in drumming up support for the kidnapped Nigerian schoolgirls – a Twitter campaign that turned against her in some ways when people began posting photos of children killed during drone strikes authorized by the administration. She has also waded into domestic battle with Republicans over her school lunch program. Just recently, she attacked conservative politicians for “playing politics with our kids’ health” and attempting to “override science.”
